Access to Info

If students cannot access online resources on their computers, copy and paste the information into PDF files that the student can open to read.

Group Work

Use meaningful group work as a motivation for engagement.  Students can learn through socialization and may feel an obligation to participate so rather than let group mates down.

Motivate Reading

To motivate students to read articles online, assign them to generate 5 specific questions they had about the content.  Each student would then ask classmates these questions during either asynchronous discussion postings or (if scheduled) a synchronous discussion.
